I work at a body shop and we have 14 GT in the shop now were gonna tear down for this same reason. its from a ford dealer, and they said a different ford dealer that has a body shop said " if its where we think it is, the quarter panel has to come off" I'l let you guys know once we tear into the car

So what ever happened with this? Anything?

only thing we have done was remove the right rear qtr glass, and the tech from the ford dealer came and test drove it and said it was way better, so put it back together. it goes back to the dealer tomorrow. they are saying the qtr glass was hitting the body.

Mine turned out to be the Strange adjustable shocks out back. Swapped them back to stock and my rattle is gone. Ordered some Koni STR.Ts to replace them. Gotta be better than stock stuff... right ? :)

Hope you guys get yours figured out.

That's a real bummer and feel your pain.

I only tightened the passenger rear shock top nut because that's where the rattle was coming from and it has solved it since.

Now I'm hearing it on the driver side rear although not as bad so might try to tighten that side over the weekend.

I haven't checked my shock mount yet. I swear (an so does everyone who's ridden in the back seat) I think that it's coming from the area where the rear window ends and the speaker deck, like up high. I'm not sure if the rattle is traveling from some where down lower or it's actually up higher.

So not sure if it's just a coincidence but after installing my H&R Super Sports, I haven't heard the rattle. Knock on wood. I'll find out for sure later today. Got an 8 hr round trip comin up.

I had a noise from the rear end that came on the last month. Had the tires off to rotate them last weekend and thought I'd check to see if I had a bad bushing or something. Turned out that the panhard bar/axle brace was disconnected. The bolts on the driver side were gone.

I dont drive my 07 much anymore but Ill have to put it on ramps again... Mine only happens above about 70mph and it sounds like its coming from the trunk. I had my dad drive it once and I put the rear seats down and started messing with everything but nothing Id touch would make it stop. Maybe it is suspension related.

Mine happened anywhere from 60-80mph. Drove me crazy so I'd just turn up the radio. I sure hope it was the springs.

Mine was not speed dependent. Just happened over uneven roads and bumps.

I've had an annoying rattle in my '08 for several months. Sounds like it comes from drivers side back by the axle. Been in the trunk with someone else driving, tried several things. Plastic spacers between the bumper cover and body where it mounts. Checking exhaust pipe clearances. digging rocks out of various places. New control arm bushings.(which stopped some squeaking, but not the rattle) It is frustrating to say the least. The only thing that stopped it for a little while was going through a car wash that had really good underbody wash cannons. Makes me wonder about the brake pads now. I'm so tired of doing stuff, and thinking, "Oh, that had to be it." Then discovering the dad blamed thing is STILL there.

figured out my rattle finally. It was the muffler hanger bracket, drivers side. The bigger one with three bolts holding it to the body frame. Took it off, cleaned it up, put black RTV on the contact points where it sits metal to metal, and bolted it back on. No more rattle. What a relief.
