Grey plastic trim treatment

I know most cars have a black trim, but my daily commuter Mazda3 has a grey plastic trim that I got some wax on. What product will make it look good again? Will the products that are advertised for black plastic trim work or am I s.o.l.?

You're not SOL by any means. There is a product out there called Pre-wow pre cleaner, it's strictly a cleaner for black plastic trims that have dried wax residue. Using that with a little agitation will remove any old wax. Ironically, I also have a Mazda(speed) 3 and have used that combined with Poorboy's Trim Restorer. It removed old wax that was almost 8 months old!

I actually have a sample of the pre-wow for you guys to try, and stock plenty of the poorboy's trim restorer. If you guys want to place an order, I can see about throwing in a little cleaner for you to try out.

Vinylex will restore it as good as it can get.
I would use some alcohol to clean it as good as you can to try remove the wax or use Johns cleaner (Probably better than alcohol will do).
Then use the Vinylex.
Stuff is amazing.

Even cheaper solution, get those little cotton pads your wife/gf uses to wipe off nail polish residue with. Just apply some isopropyl alcohol to them... gets rid of the wax immediately and safe for your trim too! I'd then use a water based product like Optimum tire guard or Chemical Guys VRP

this is what I do, and in the rare case that the eraser isn't enough, I use Seer's alcohol method.
