GT500 Front Fascia Conversion - Parts List

The following list details the parts necessary to perform the GT500 front fascia conversion. When reading this post, realize that your existing Mustang fascia may or may not have fog lights, and you must carefuly investigate any wiring harness issues you may encounter. For this post, it is assumed that you have the Mustang GT with fog lights located in the upper radiator grille.

NOTE 1: The only item needed from the GT500 wiring harness is the female connector for the new fog lights. The necessary female connector may or may not be avaialbe as a separate Ford part. If not, then you’ll need to purchase the GT500 wiring harness and cut off the needed adapter. An alternative could be to hardwire the existing GT wiring harness to the fog lights. Other’s may chime in and offer their suggestions.

NOTE 2: The front half of the driver and passenger inner wheel well guards are not identical for the GT500 and GT. It may be possible to alter the stock GT wheel well guards to fit the holes on the new GT500 bumper and lower valence. I chose to purchase the GT500 guards since they were approximately $30 combined.

$1500 for parts, and $350 for paint. Install can be done by anyone with 2 hands. Cost is minimal for those who value looks.

That's the main part of the GT500 I don't like... the front view. It's the primary reason I don't want one.

To each their own, because I personnally can't stand the 4 head light look on the stock cars. I had to get rid of that right away and was my only reason for going with the 500 front end. But when I got my front end it was only 800 total cost. People are getting raped now paying 1500 for them. Glad I work for Ford and got my parts at cost.

So HAS the price gone down?

I am hankering for a change after I get home... well, that and my current front facsia is pretty beat up underneath. I am also looking for something a little "cleaner" between the headlights and still keep some fog lights, so that means either GT500, Saleen, or Bullit (I think?) and keep my stock hood, (which is on notice as well, since I want the Saleen shaker too)...

CDC black billet grille (or Bullitt grille) + GT/CS bumper cover + Shelby brake cooling/PIAA foglight inserts.
