Head gasket

What kind of head gaskets are you guys running on your built engines ?

i was looking at the felpro ones 1141R and FPP-1141L how good are cosmetics comparing to flepro or stock? thanks guys

Stock are an MLS gasket, they are extremely good gaskets, that is why people are popping motors and not head gaskets.

We swear by the stock Ford head and exhaust manifold gaskets. ARP hardware would be worth your time to upgrade, though.

Yeah, what the hell, Ford built a really nice engine - who would a thunk it?

The head gasket isn't the only part pissing the aftermarket off with their failure to significantly improve on it with minimal effort...

No. you WANT to use a stock oil pump.

I installed the Mmr metal gasket( can't remember the name) someone that had another Mmr motor said it blew because of the head gasket. I don't know if its the same as mine. I need to find that thread. I might have an air leak in that location, but seals up when the car is warm. It one of many issues I have :-/

No. you WANT to use a stock oil pump.

Stock gaskets are as good as or better than any out there period. I have never had a stocker seep coolant on me but almost every Cometic I have used has.
