If that is bigger than the Afco, it is not by much. It's not a matter of not wanting to make it bigger, its a matter of where to put it.

I would wager that the two could be compared and a measurable difference in performance could not be found.

Not sure of the difference in diminsions.. It uses 11" fans instead of the 10", so I assume at least 1 more inch of surface area all around? Would be nice to see some data sheets on it compared to the basic c&r and afco

Finally got around to taking some pics today of the new intercooler system on the car. Its nuclear weapon size overkill, but it works pretty good.

For reference the Afco Pro dimensions are 26.26”x11.375”x1.25”= 374cu in/ 298sq in face.

Our test setup:

Front mount heat exchanger. Custom Griffin unit. Completely fenced in and sealed to the grill openings. Dimensions 22.5”x16”x3”= 1080cu in/ 360 sq in face. One 16” fan. Ignore red arrow.

Rear mount heat exchanger. Custom Griffin unit. Trunk is completely sealed, fed by NACA ducts, and sealed to the grill opening. Dimensions 22.5”x13”x1.5”. 438cu in/ 292sq in face. Two 10” fans.

Rear mount surge tank with built in 55gpm Meziere pump.

Front mount in line 55gpm Meziere pump (not pictured).

All -12AN line and fittings.

NACA ducts. And these sucker WORK! At 80mph you can hear the air going through them. And with the fans on the air is sucking hard enough through them to stick a piece of paper to them and almost suck it through.:omfg:

Dude. That is totally badass. I can't imagine how much better your IATs are with all of that in there. I'd be happy to get a solid 10 degrees off - that system has to accomplish 3-4x that. Nice!!
