I stand corrected.

I just looked at the pay chart and saw that the top enlisted get the special pay.

I'll just keep quiet for awhile.

No biggie, I mean they might as well be E-10's! Lol

They do. You can't advance in rank unless you score well on your ratings exam. Even then it's not a given. When I took the E-5/EM exam, I passed it with a good score. Only problem was there were over 1500 E-4/EMs taking the exam for E-5 and only 250 were being promoted. Fleet wide.

Really?
I wish the fucking Army did that! I would already be a Staff Sergeant and half the people that are NCOs right now wouldn't be NCOs. Too many times have I led maintenance operations with E-5s following my orders.

As you may have noticed, there are a lot of active and former military on this site. A guy who lies about his car, may also lie about his service. The pic you provided with shadowed eyes did not inspire confidence. No one lower than a guy lying about serving.

Do you get the connection between integrity, telling the truth, and being believed when you say something? Figuring that out will serve you well, if you stay in or out of the Navy

Wait your a Senior Chief!?

I posted this on the Vanity Plate thread...

(Gotta figure out how to post pics and stuff. Maybe I oughta read the instructions.)

"Yes, I did"

yes, you contacted his command?

and / or

yes, you found out something?

Answer to both questions is yes.

Not looking to add fuel to the fire here.

Looking to help out a young Sailor / Mustang owner with some off-line advice.

I came up with that years ago on the NASCAR Fantasy challenge on ESPN. Kind of a throwback to the roots of NASCAR.

I have gotten quite a few "comments" regarding drinking and driving when joining Mustang forums.

Most of the guys here aren't quite that dense (I think). I can appreciate the wry humor and find it hilarious. :beerdrink:
