I am posting this one that I discovered on another forum. It works! Props to Steve for figuring this one out.

This turns off the traction control as soon as you start your car, and if it starts to rain and you want it back on, simply press the TCS button and it is back on!

You will need a relay, some wire, spade connectors, and splice taps.

I did mine today while I was doing the OD override and when I start the car I see this:

Had mine turned off in the tune and never looked back. No more burnouts without having to push a button first and no worry of nitrous and TCS not playing nice.

The nice thing about using the relay is you don't have the tire tracks showing up in your dash display. And with the relay you can turn it back on with the button at will vs having to reload a tune.

I thought the TCS button was just a momentary ground of the white/pink signal line that changes the TCS state when the ground is released. That is to say that the TCS is always off as long as the white/pink is grounded. If you use a simple toggle switch to connect the white/pink to ground, when the toggle switch is closed, TCS is always "off". When the toggle switch is open, TCS acts normally (starts "On" and changes state with subsequent presses of the TCS button - unless it's turned off in the tune). I read this somewhere - the guy tested it by holding the TCS button down during start.

Thanks for posting the relay solution up though. One way or the other, I'm going to implement this mod in the next month or so. I don't like the TCS warning in the dash when it's turned off in the tune.

i like having the TCS for when my wife drives the car.

Your wife drives your car??? In three and a half years, my wife has only ridden in my mustang twice.

I wonder if this would work with the 2011's? The TCS button is located in a different place to, which should make it easier to do.

I have my TCS grounded off but you will still get the light on the warning display. I just put a small piece of black tape over it and you can hardly tell it's there.

Yeah, I've had this one for at least 3 years. It's been discussed on this forum a lot. It's a good, cheap mod though. Don't forget to turn TCS back on when it's raining.

There is no tire track light showing up with this particular mod. I just saves you from having to press the button. That is all it does.

Better late than never! I should have searched. At least the OD mod is new!!!

Maybe we should have a sticky folder for "how to's."

It worked perfectly for me this morning driving to work!

I preform the "finger mod" at the track. It's part of my pre-run checklist

Helmet? Check.
Seat belt? Check.
Seat adjusted? Check.
Windows up? Check.
Anything lose in the driver compartment? Yes? Secure it. No? Check.
Running lights on (if dark)? Check.
A/C off? Check.
Radio off? Check.
Fan off? Check.
Traction Control off? Check.

Only then am I ready for the burnout box.

Been having mine done for about 1.5 years. Works great. I like having the ability to turn it back on if needed or wife is driving.
