Hey guys. Ran a search but didn't turn up a ton of info. Has anyone had experience with the HSW plate kit + "All out" kit?

I have had some sick and twisted thoughts as of late. I was going to do a road race/auto cross setup but I find myself not having enough time. I do get to the drag strip so I'm thinking about finishing off my rear suspension, picking up some race star's and the bottle. I will be doing a lot of tuning on the dragster so I'm going to be at the drag strip most weekends anyway.

Thanks,

Jake

P.S. - I have read first hand accounts that say this kit is good stuff and HSW has a fairly good reputation with the GM Guys.

I would run the HSW plate in a heartbeat if they made one bored to the FRPP manifold. I just can't bring myself to put stock manifold bores on the FRPP manifold. I'm considering bribing HSW to make a plate for the FRPP bores.

I had the HSW wet plate kit for my G8. All in all good kit. Only issue i had was the solenoids isn't the best. They have a major issue over heating and not spraying. My Nitrous and purge solenoids used to get very hot and not want to work. I had to relocated them several times to get them perfect. Unlike some other solenoids that you can simply place anywhere in the engine bay with no issues. The micro edge is great though. I will be running it with the Nitrous outlet wet plate kit for my 5.0.

Also there kits are based on RWHP gains. So a 150 shot is that to the wheels which means its actually a little higher to the engine.

Food for thought. I'm also thinking about the Ny-Trex triple threat and I love NX and Pro flow, but I don't know if I want to spend that much.

After buying my N2O kit from a forum member, I've found it's been easier on my wallet and patience to piece together what I want on the kit. Like the ZEX heater I got with the kit is absolute trash, it wimps out around 900psi, and takes forever to get it that high. My new DynoTune heater is awesome. Humps that shit to 1100 in about 5-10 min!

I run the HSW kit (no plate as of now) and here is a quote from the people who installed it "This is the most over engineered system we have ever seen". I live in central Indiana with a very reputable Mustang shop near by ... If I had it to do over I would just wait to get "Blown"

Do you mean under engineered? Because usually over engineered is a good thing?

Either way, the NX plate system is not as unreasonable as I originally thought. I can get their progressive controller (Maximizer 3), 3 valve plate kit, bottle acc. kit (bottle warmer, blow down tube, etc.), and remote bottle opener for right around $2000.

Eventually I want to go turbo, but I want the Powerhouse single kit and I can't afford to do that right the first time. So, the plan is to get nitrous and then turbo kit + shortblock at the same time and integrate the nitrous kit into that setup.

No I used the correct word. Being that it is overly engineered the quality is very high, and has a difficult installation process.

I have the Nitrous Express Plate Kit and have had nothing but good things to say about it.....I also bought my kit off of this forum from a fellow member and got my entire set up for 850 bucks......Nitrous Express Plate Kit, Bottle Heater, Remote Bottle Opener, Cup Holder Switch Panel, Fuel, A/F, and Nitrous Gauges, RPM Window Switch, and Purge....The only thing I had to buy was a BAP, Colder Plugs, and 3-Pillar Gauge Pod......So I would say I got a hell of a deal......I have been very happy with my kit as well and I make GREAT power off of it.....I actually gained more HP from the 125 shot than expected......

So maybe this kit would be an option for you as well.....

Ok, gotcha. I guess I made it sound negative in my head. :beerdrink:

I really like the NX kit, but unless I come up on a lucky find there is no way I can get it for anywhere near the same price as the HSW kit. I really like the NX Progressive controller as well, but I think the HSW unit should do fine.

I also don't want to go through the hassle of trying to pick parts up here and there. Then hoping those parts are as good condition as the seller always says they are which, as we know, doesnt always happen.

I appreciate the advice guys. I'll post up details when I make a move. Should have the dragster back together and ont he track soon too, so I may do a track day thread on both.

My goal, for now, is to get into the 11's even if its a 11.99 and do the tuning myself. So, we shall see how it goes!

Look like crap generic solenoids to me, same story with the bottle valve.

Id be inclined to get the plate and use some NX or WON solenoids.

If I have issues with the HSW solenoids, I'll be switching to NX noids. You can bet on that. I may start without the plate and if the HSW solenoids give me any issues I'll order the NX plate which comes with noids.
