I just gotta tell you guys how much I truly enjoy coming on this site and learning so much. You guys are the most badass community I know and have helped me for the past 2 years I have had the car. YOU GUYS ROCK!
Last night I finished installing my new exedy mach 400 clutch with the new flywheel and it went awesome. I read a few people say how they pre-fill the slave with fluid before installing it and I did it and it saved SO much time in bleeding the system. Everything went in and out with your average hand tools and a single jack. Took me 5 hours all together with some helps from my pops getting the trans in and out.
This Exedy clutch feels amazing. The pedal is incredibly smooth now compared to the tightness I had when the Ram was installed. It engages the clutch nice and high on the pedal instead of right off the ground like the ram did. But I couldnt believe how the clutch looked when I took it out and the clutch disc was completely worn. Goes to show how researching things before you buy them could save you a ton of dough.
Honestly, I wouldn't have had the know-how to do this myself without being able to research everything on here. Most of all my parts were bought on here and installed with the knowledge given from fellow members. I now can really understand the feeling of achievement you guys get from installing such pain in the ass parts and knowing you did it yourself. I am truly proud to say that I have installed each and every mod on my car with my own hands and to know that if something ever screws up, its my own fault.
