so after saving 6k cash for a paxton setup, i sat back and took a HARD look at what i wanted out of a mustang. manly 450whp+ and reliable performance.

the 2013, with its revised looks, slightly changed MT82 can no longer be ignored. I've got a few quotes on a GB, MT82 premium and a dealer up north has made an offer i can't refuse.

GB is hard to find around my area so i may have to order the car, but sadly and with a heavy heart my 07 will be traded in. it was a hard choice, as i LOVE my 07, but to make RELIABLE power(450whp+) i would have had to throw to much money at it. 6k for the blower setup, then a clutch, then save for a forged setup. it was adding up faster than i care to think about.

ill be able to make 420-430whp with minor bolt ons and with the same paxton near 600whp. something that can't be done that easily on a 3v.

the 07 could be gone as early as next weekend.

I'm having the same problem. It costs too much for me just to make 475-500rwhp and I'm comparing the price. Its not worth it to me. I was interested in a Whipple ho, forged sb swap, and then have the worries of my factory auto trans going out.
its hard to make the change, but I can't order a new car now. Have the savings, just not a priority for me. Gl and take your time.

ford of kirkland. got quoted 32k for a GT 6sp premium. from what i can find in our area thats the lowest priced by about 2k. i used trucar.com for giggles and it actually pumped out a decent deal.

the bummer is there are no real incentives on the 13s. 500 cash back. thats it.

yea i talked to a nice guy, named Dan IIRC. he quickly cut to the chase on pricing. i know 32k isn't probably the absolute best, but my 07 is depreciating by the min. literally.

Not anytime soon. My car is too modified to trade or even put up for sale to the general public.

The last time I contacted fok was when I was shopping for my car in 2008. Came very close to buying a vapor silver gt, but didn't.

i owe 10k on the 07. your numbers are low. i figured about 14k to get reliable big power from a 3v. 6k for a COMPLETE paxton setup, then 4k for an aluminator, figure labor and tuning. intercooler ect. it adds up fast. ill owe probably 25k or so on the 13. just rough numbers.

not interested in the 11-12s. i like the 13 much more.

No, your numbers are too high.
you already have the block, just attend to the weak points, rods, pistons, keep the stock crank to save.
But I guess it all depends on what you really want in the end.


I didn't realize you had a debt on the 07, makes way more sense now.
I thought you owned it outright.
My mistake.

You could still get the paxton, +400rwhp cars are real fun street cars.

I just think that putting yourself further into debt sucks.
