Indoor Drag Racing in Chicago

I thought this was something you guys might enjoy too so I finally looked into this a bit and it's something I would LOVE to learn more about. If there was video, that would be sick!

Apparently there was an organization that attempted indoor drag racing from 1962-1964. They did it in the chicago international amphitheater. Which sadly was demolished in 1999. How awesome would it have been to stand on the old drag strip?
