I just have air/air intercooler, but you don't need higher coolant flow, with a bigger heat exchanger the temp difference between in and out flow of the water gets bigger and the time to overheat and change to ignition timing gets longer.
You can do a test run. Log a file at WOT and measure the intake air temp. At around 35°C the engine will pull the ignition timing. With a bigger air cool rate you increase the time to 35° (and you cannot cool below the ambient air temp).
From my logfiles (Mercedes 2l Kompressor): 8 psi boost, 5 seconds WOT, ambient temp 15°C, 30°C in intake, So I can possible do 7 sec WOT before I lose power.
