Hi, I have a 2010 Mustang GT 4.6 V 5 spd. At 142k my engine started misfiring, after further investigation we determined 2 cam lobes were wiped on bank 1. At this point I decided to upgrade to Ford performance Hot Rod cams. We replaced cams, rocker arms, lash adjusters, oil pump, timing chains, chain tensioners, VCT solenoids, phasers and 3.73 gears. I also purchased a revX tuner and custom tune. First failure, chain tensioner bank 1 failed (acted like cam had jumped time) tore engine down and replaced. Current failure, when I run the AC I get a erratic idle and get the CEL. Fault codes are P0021/P0022/p0011. I reset codes and engine runs good till AC is on at idle, I tried running the AC again to see if problem would returned and got the CEL again but this time I only get the P0021 fault code. I'm thinking the VCT solenoids are possibly contaminated from engine break in metal? Or just a faulty VCT solenoid? The chain tensioner that collapsed was purchased from Rock Auto along with the VCT solenoids (Cloyes brand). Worst people to deal with ever! I decided to purchase 2 new VCT solenoids (Ford Motorcraft) and they arrive this weekend. Anyone else have similar issues?
