We traveled over 1900 miles from west of Chicago through Cleveland to Washington D.C. for a few days of taking in the sights at our nation's capital. I LOVE this car!!! Got a few cool pics to share:

I consider the Flex to be a MAXI-mini of sorts.

From the Jefferson Monument you can see the Washington Monument and the White House.

The Kennedy family plot.

Awesome pics! Been to D.C. several times myself as I have a Great Aunt that lives there. Should be on anyone's things to see list, regardless of who is the the White House. :p It's a very cool place with lots of history and cool things to see.

Been there a couple time also, when my brother was stationed there. Allot of history and the memorials are worth the trip, specially if you're a VET. And all the monuments and museums are also cool, to check out.

Lol the kids look like they are having a blast....LOL! They are thinking "God Dad, all the other kids are going to the beach!" I cant believe you didn't take them on a fun vacation for their winter break! Jk man, its good for them to know a little history, I need to make it to DC myself. Did you go to the Smithsonian? The Flex is a great riding car, I wouldn't mind having one either if I had a family.

It is nice over there and alot to see, I spend last christmas in maryland ('09) and we made a couple trips to dc to look around and spend the day. Despite how many times I have been there, I still have alot to see. i actually drove though there last thursday going to pick up my wife at ronald regan airport, going through dc towing a trailer was interesting and I don't mean on the highways. lol

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but, yes, we did hit the Smithsonian's 3 different museums, the Natural History, American History, and Air and Space. And all I heard on the way was "Dad, this sounds more like a field trip than a vacation..." but once they saw the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and Ford's Theatre, they were hooked. We basically drove right by Akron (my wife's a Zip) on the way past Cleveland on I-76.

The Flex is awesome. 350 hp, AWD, 3 rows of seats, decent handling. Ford knocked this one out of the park!

That would be a great trip! I really want to see the Air and Space museum. I am glad the kids had fun, when I was their age I know I wouldn't have fun there, but now I can appreciate it. Also, on a side note, it looks like your wife was one of the smart ones that got the hell out of this town after graduation (I am a Zip also, class of '08)! Supposably Akron was rated THE worst city to find a job in, and unfortunately I am one of those job seekers. As for 76, I don't know what it is about that highway, but I cannot stand it and we live right off of it, just a bit outside of the actual city. I always catch it as the worst traffic times lol.

DC is a great place, i have lived here my whole life. I live about 12 miles out side of the city. I used to vist all those spots every year growing up with my grand dad. I will say, if you have a chance to get down town the spy mussuem and all the smithsonian's are a MUST!
