Hey everyone!

I have a 2005 silver gt with 45k miles on it. Mods include short throw shifter, pypes axle back exhaust, and 20" bullet replicas...

On the suggestion of the guys at AmericanMuscle I just ordered the JLT SERIES 3 CAI AND BAMA X4 TUNER... This is the 110mm intake. I was leaning towards the 95mm c and l intake, but decided to listen to their advice.

I'm excited to feel the difference this will produce... What is everyone's thoughts? Did i screw up and order garbage?

Welcome to the site Charles,

Depending what what your goals are for your car.

If you are planning to keep it NA then I would say you bought a great CAI.

Good luck with your car!

I think you might have ordered garbage. The only remedy for this screw up is trade the stang in for a Dodge Dart. Otherwise your screwed and will be subjected to torment and personal anguish for screwing up our tech.

You'll definitely feel a difference with the tune. I'm not sure about the cold air intake. I've never bought in to the cold air intake making enough power to compensate for the money.

I was alright with the jlt2. Look to a good tune for the seat of the pants feel. What octane and tune do you plan to regularly run?

That is a very nice CAI, I ran one back when I was running a Saleen SC. It is a little over kill for a stock motor IMO, you won't be able to utilize all that air flow while still using the stock throttle body. With that being said, you will notice a difference once you get a good solid tune on your car.

I installed the same kit this weekend. I figure it's a good piece to start with, and will prove its worth more as the mods add up.
