Anyone have an opinions on this unit? Looking to replace my Shaker 500 with a broken display. Is there anything else i'm going to need? Car audio is not something I know much about.

Also just ordered these Infinitys to replace the front and rear speakers;

For the head unit you'll need the wiring harness and a 12v to 5v step down to prevent the speakers from popping. It's a really easy job.

I don't think you can do that with the shaker... You have a component setup so those speakers won't work unless you rewire the whole thing.

At least that's how it was with the Mach 460/1000

Thanks guys, i'll make sure to pick up those also when I grab the new piece. Those speakers are pretty popular on here, thats why I picked them.

I had this unit, I like the fact I could customize the colors to match my interior lighting. I hated the bluetooth hands free feature. The call quality sucked, was unusable. No matter where I put the mic. people could not hear me. I even got another microphone and clipped it to my shirt and still didn't work.

Actually this was my third JVC headunit that the bluetooth call quality sucked. Other than that all was good. The screen could use a better resolution as well, felt very 1990s with such a pixelated screen compared to what we have now...
