well my current launch technique, leaving off idle has worked for me, but looking to see what other techniques have worked for mostly stock auto cars.

I've been told to hold your foot on the brake, but not all the way down, rev the car up to about 1500-2000rpm, wait for the yellow and go. I've yet to be able to really practice this, but I will once my car is back up.

Always been my way to launch.
With my 4.10 and stock tire i was able to foot brake at ~1900 rpm.
and just after the last yellow, floor it, depress brake

Releasing the brake has always worked better for me......lol

I've always had better luck footbraking it and getting up on the converter as much as I can. But others have the exact opposite experiences. The only way to know for sure is to test your car.
