Lighting problem...need help

Ok......I done a short search and did not see my problem.

Car is 2012GT and I keep my lighting options set on ambient ice blue. Never even fool with the colors much. I noticed today that my drivers door sill plate that says "Mustang" is in green. The other door, along with everything else is in blue or normal. Even the light in the slot to pull the door shut is still blue. So all is normal accept my sill plate on just drivers side only, is green.

I have fooled with everything but can't figure it out. It will change to all the selected colors, except when I get to ice blue, it's green. Any Ideas or anybody run into this??? I would appreciate some help. Thanks fellows!

Since yellow and green make blue, I'm guessing the yellow portion burned out. Warranty might cover it if yours is still active.

Hmmmm......Guess a trip to Wilmington may be in order. Thanks! If anybody else has some advice please chime in. Thanks again.

On another note has anybody looked at how the sill lighting is done? JW05GT......Is there several color bulbs under the sill? I haven't ever had them off or messed with the lighting on these 11+ cars

Not quite. Light is composed of Red, Green, and Blue ("RGB" to computer nerds). Blue makes blue. Green plus blue makes teal (similar to ICE BLUE). Green plus red makes yellow.

So my guess would be the blue LEDs are burnt out.

I agree....So, I guess I can take the sill up and find the one that's out and hope that it's something I can find, as for fitment. I have the feeling warranty will not cover it but I sure would prefer not buying it at a ford dealer.

Anybody had their sill plate up and seen these bulbs? Are they individually replacable??

Ok....So has anybody replaced any color in the sill before. Wonder if this type lighting would full under bumper to bumper warranty?

Warranty should cover it.

If not, you can get a replacement from Tousley Ford. It will run you about $100 for the LED replacement.

I broke one on my wifes Edge, and it is $100 to replace.

Same reason everybody else does. Let me tell ya, I sell tools for a living and been around dealerships for years. I can tell you a lot of stories of bumper to bumper warranty not covering things you may think it does. I assume you were just joking around as you probably know this is true. If not trust me....It's true!

In my case I know I will get some help from one of 4 ford dealerships I go to, but there is a lot that are not so lucky.

Thread resurrection, anyone know where you can just buy the bulbs, that is NOT the dealership, and preferably online?
