I got my car back today and noticed that the old intake manifold had a couple, not many, small metal shavings in it. A couple not far behind where the TB would be. Could the motor exploding cause this? Needless to say, when I got home i pulled the charge pipe off the TB and looked for any shavings in before the TB and saw none. The new block has under 100 miles on it so i am paranoid...

tx

edit: a couple near the tb and a couple toward one of the runners...

Yes, I have had a couple of motors blow up where pieces of alum from the pistons and heads ended up in the intake manifold.

yes, pieces of the block could have got sucked into the intake valves and went north...When mine blew, I hade aluminum in my supercharger rotors and in the intercooler that was mounted into the manifold
