There is info on the site for doing a 05-09 reset but nothing I could find on the 10-14 which has a different fuse set up inside the car. I located fuse #15, Climate Control, and pulled the fuse for a minute or so but not sure that did the trick. My A/C is acting strangely kicking on and off randomly and the fan switch isn't right either and doesn't respond as it should. The car is getting some A/C, sometimes full blast, sometimes next to nothing even with the controls on max A/C. I have seen mention of a dual zone system or something like that but I believe my system is just a basic one. Can anyone tell me how to reset the actuator for starters, I replaced the lower actuator on the passenger side with a motorcraft actuator, and it got rid of the thumping noise but now there is a chattering sound coming from that area. I was only able to put two of the screws back on the actuator, but it seems to be secure in place.

My experience is with an '08, so can't help with the reset, but I will say "chattering" usually means broken teeth on either the actuator motor or lever, so that certainly could explain the anomalies in the vents getting (or not getting) air, where expected.

Correct. If you replaced the motor and are still experiencing chatter it is a possibility there is additional damage elsewhere.

I sold the car and haven't heard back yet although I offered to help if the problem persists. The person who bought it said they have a neighbor who is always asking to help them with cars so I told them to see if he can check the charge in the A/C system. The fact that the A/C wasn't even coming on sometimes made me wonder if that was a good starting point to diagnosing the problem.
