alright guys, well Its time for me to invest in an actual good set of wheels for my car and I'm lookin for some help. I know which style I want but I cannot decide on the color....do you guys think I should go with a matte face and a polished lip, gloss black lip with a matte black face, or just go for the "pro touring" look with a brushed silver face and a polished lip. please help me out here...haha here are some pictures of my car and the wheels I am considering.

The pro touring look for sure. That color wheel always looks best on darker colors IMO.

I'm going with the multi spoke, I just threw in that pic of the 5 spoke because it was the only one with a black face and a polished lip. I have had two sets of dark wheels with a polished lip on this car so maybe its time to switch over to the brushed face with a polished lip. I have been debating for the past couple of weeks and I just wish I could decide already :damnit:

Be careful with the 360 boys, or should i say boyz. I have heard some bad comments about their wheel, and seeing how they are from miami I do not doubt it.

I am aware of the past situations when jordan was in charge over there, but they have been bought out by forge distributing and I have heard nothing but good things about them. They now are teamed up making 360 forged, modular concepts, and system forged wheels all in one.

I did not know this. I will put them back on my list now. Let us know how it goes.

With black cars I think pro touring will look the best. Unless you go all black, lip and all, but I would not recommend it because thats what I plan to do. LOL

your totally right man, the car is actually on H&R coilovers but I have it raised up right now because I was driving it everyday, I finally picked up a ford escape as a daily, I just haven't had a chance to put that beesh back down. It should look sick slammed though

do you have a big brake kit that you like to show off from underneath the wheels?

Im personally gunna have to say get the matte black with polished lip as my choice.

the real question though is.... what do you wanna achieve with the wheels.... do you want wheels to accent the car and overall look of it? or do you want the wheels to just scream look at me.

well what I'm thinking is that I'm gonna spend about 5 grand on these wheels and I don't want to just make a subtle difference in the look of the car, maybe by going with the brushed face and polished lip and lowering the car a bit more it will change up the look drastically. creating more of an old school look but with the new school edge of the mustang and 360 forged. I am just in love with that '69 and the z06 so maybe a brushed face will look that good on mine. what do you guys think? I know its hard because that photoshop looks like crap but I think It might just be killer.

I already stated my opinion. The brushed face/polished lip is going to look sick on your car. Especially once you lower it a bit more.

And there is always the option of powdercoating if they don't suit your style.

I am kinda over the black center polished lip thing. It actually makes the wheel look smaller. I also do not think it would go well with a black car. Just my opinion thats all.

I really don't think I would want to powder coat a set of wheels that I paid 5 grand for to be honest.

And to the original poster paydirt.... sounds like you wanna make a statement with your wheels.... which im totally down with! if thats the case get the wheel that you have photoshopped onto your car... and with the wheels this expensive they will always look good and if you were to ever get a different ride you can always make silver wheels work with almost any car and color IMO... so you could use these on there too.

And if you got a big brake kit in say black, red or what have you they would really 'pop' from underneath the silver wheels on black car.

I dont know but im so exited that your buying these wheels!.... LOL.... they are pretty much my dream wheels that I absolutely love!

hope this helps.... and I love your car btw.... one of the nicest black s197's I have ever seen.... i really dig the apr splitter you have on the cdc chin spoiler.
