Think of it like this Ron - if your converter is holding at WOT to exactly the stall (3400) and not slipping more at all (make sure) then even just setting the 2-step to 3300 takes that burden off your converter to hold it all.

Also - remember you have a TS so you are going to be in full boost regardless of the launch rpm on the trans brake as soon as you take off.

I agree as well.The longer & higher the rpm you transbrake at,the greater the trans oil is cooking roughly 100 degrees per sec in that converter!

well if the stall is 3400 and i set it to 500-1000 below thats 2900/2400. wont that affect my launch and slow the car down s well?

I always had mine set at 2000 and I cut 1.39 sixty foots.

Thats good,my best 60' was 1.44 @ 3000 rpm on the 2-step.That shows us that a higher rpm on the TB is not better.I figured that out 2 years ago.

Damn, i'm gonna have to look into trading someone my tr6060 setup for an auto. I should have just done the auto to begin with.
