I didn't say anything about hp/per liter in my last post.
You are downing a ferrari and a porsche because a chevy is faster.
I feel so inferior though bro, you're right because my car is my life :roflmao:

You think a corvette is better than a ferrari and a porsche because it's faster? :roflmao:
My cousin has a 9 second civic, is that better than a ferrari too?

How did you read that into what he said? I really don't even see how its possible. He was simply saying that your argument was a stupid and now you change your argument. When an OHV engine that you guys are not impressed with has no problem with the high tech engines you love so dearly than what does that say for your old and useless tech argument?

Are people really trying to argue the 5.0 vs a c6 z06? The two cars aren't even in the same category. The z06 is better in almost every category imaginable. Chevy created super car performance in a car that is half the price of most of it's competition. Funny that a base level vette and even the c5z06 are better than the 5.0 stock for stock performance wise.

Its an amazing day when true car enthusiasts can say that and not get tarred and feathered.

To each their own! I think getting close to 30mpg out of a 7.0l car for the price of a Z06 is awesome. However you can't beat the sex appeal of an exotic. I see the positives in both, doesn't make either one crap!

I agree I would drive a ZR1 off a cliff with me inside it for a 458 Italia despite the ZR1 being faster.

did i say that?

you just keep trying to compare hp/liter against it because you feel inferior. we are not arguing interiors or fit and finish here.

like i said when the vette starts loosing in what it was designed to do, they will change it.

Its ok I think everyone can see fanboyism when they see it, hp per liter pretty much marks out any conversation that follows as a ricer one. Its like bringing up interior quality when your talking about two cars performance on the drag strip.

I didn't say anything about hp/per liter in my last post.

You seem to be at the forefront of all of these ricer arguments, are you sure its not you that owns a Civic? The Z06 is a cut price supercar, and I am sorry but the LS7 is a masterful engine in a lightweight car that has no problem with super cars.

Im sorry, you are so right. it was a couple posts ago and you said specific output, cause its so much different.

The one thing about ricer arguments though, you can never win them ....winning one of them is like winning the Special Olympics....

By the way I don't know if you guys know this but there are OHV engines that spin 10,000 rpm and more.

The new Camaro scares the hell out of me because I fear I may have to 'lift' at a high speed on a road course in the turns or esses and slow down to avoid running into them. I had to inject some humor here.

another fact that is amusing is the alms had to specifically put a handicap on the c6r because it wasn't even fair to the competitors (that usually means its shitty and it doesnt have enough "technology"). even with restrictors it was making, what 650hp? and that was still a 427.

Right on! Reminds me of the time I was street racing a Mopar and started getting sideways, looked back and that fucker was still trying to catch me, I'll be damned if I was letting up. After getting air born my car finally stopped five feet from a guys living room, but I had that asshole by at least three cars before I took flight and that's all that really matters. Oh ya, it was a big block 428 Pontiac that would spin up to 8k like it was nothing, very low tech.

Thats called the RMOD ( Red Mist of Death) its a state of mind where everything turns RED....and victory is the only thought on your mind and taste in your mouth. It will take reason and throw it out the window, I know it well I once ( In Mexico) did 176 with my top off racing a Kleeman Stage 3 E55. I wasn't going to lift until I died, he did or until I got far enough out in front.

....I'm referring to a road course circuit not the street or drag racing where I'm lifting because if I don't I'm going to drive into or over him....

In your Vette what don't you pass on the track?

I'm talking about spanking the new Camaro with the Mustang GT with less horsepower. Now if that's not fun, I don't know what is. The Corvette... that would be too easy, but yes - I would pass them anywhere I can. It's unfortunate that they made the car so heavy (and poor retro style) vs. the Mustang. The new Ford 5.0 is very impressive and the new 302R coming out, but I also agree with the comments made regarding the GM LS7 (it may be a pushrod engine, but it definitely works as designed in extreme performance environments).

There's engineering in NASCAR?
Lol. They only just made the switch to fuel injection. I'd say they're about 20 years behind in the engine department.

There is... those engines have to live at 9000rpm for 500 miles in traffic.

It is those engines that give us normal folk (I.E. those of us that will never own a Veyron) modern v8's like the 7.0L 505HP LS7's, 444HP Ford 5.0's , and 6.4Liter 475HP "Hemi;s"
not to mention 429HP Hyundai 5.0 V8's with 10 Year, 100k warranties...
Does that make it one of the best motors ever, Germeezy :beerdrink:
