Still not sure if I am able to go on the cruise, but it would be cool to get us South Shore guys to go up together.

Maybe meet at the park and ride at the intersections of 24 and 106?

Being pro-active, I just ordered an OE replacement front sensor for $25 shipped from Rockatuo. They were on closeout and had 1 left!

I'll just replace it, why not.

Stupid question, bank 1 is the drivers side right?

bank one (driver's side of the engine)
bank two (passenger side)

so i have read..

Thats what I thought. I'm going to pull the plugs this weekend and hope that the o2 being dead didn't fry any. Code says it was stuck rich, so it would just lean it out, only at idle though so I'm not too worried about the plugs.

I hope it rains like a mofo on sunday so that I can go on the cruise next weekend.

EDIT: I hope it snows.

well, its a GT so its got the same motor as a WRX. Is it an auto or maunal? They have the same trannys as the STI's which is pretty cool.

Billy, I can only hope thats the one!

Ok, car died again today. Started up fine and drove great at lunch, went to leave and it did its 300rpm idle and die trick. Only way to get the car started was give it some gas and let it idle at like 1500, then it would come down and be OK.

I'm really feeling its a front O2 on its way out, although the battery was disconnected yesterday at the top shop so it, again, needs to relearn its idle.

I'll pull the plugs sat and check them, maybe they will give me a clue.

Car runs strong up in the high rpm's so I don't think its a plug issue.

ugh

No codes, I wish the car gave me some clue. My plan is as follows:

Pull plugs on saturday, note any funny business
Reload tune and let car re-learn idle, AGAIN
Swap out drivers side front O2 when it gets here

You can usually read a DTC before the light comes on. The CEL only comes on once the code has been triggered a few times in a single drive cycle.

For example, catalyst efficiency codes usually have to be triggered 3 times in a drive cycle for the dash to actually alert you of it. I'm not sure if the SCT X3 can do it but a lot of OBD2 readers will pull "pending codes" which have been triggered, but not enough times to show up as a light. You can also see the freeze frame of when it was triggered, maybe it'll give you an insight on if it's spark/fuel or something else.

I hope it's just the front O2.
