yea, im regretting that decision now! i should've just gone with the SOS pod on the A pillar. This is such a pain in my ass. Who wants to come up this weekend and help me finish this before that storm destroys us ? lol
Much easier with 2 people. If you stick your head under the dash on the drivers side you can see the vent. The plastic flexes enough to get the wires in, then use a needlenose pliers to pull them through the grate on top of the dash.
Or get a wire clothe hanger and just undo it. Tape the wires to one end and fish it through. Also great for poking through grommets and impromptu abortions.
I don't think you'll get snow, the colder air is MUCH more west of us.
Took mine out friday for the first time in 40+ days. Talk about flat spots on the tires!
After all this crap passes I'll start thinking about getting it off the road, or at least doing its oil change, and sending the current stuff to blackstone.
You're probably done already, but I took a 1" drill bit and drilled a hole through the bottom of the vent channel right above the gas pedal to get my wires through. Still a pain in the ass but it worked out nice in the end.
I did it first by going through a hole in the dash but re-wired it when I switched out the nitrous pressure gauge for the boost gauge. I don't think I have any pics of the spot where I drilled the hole. This is a writeup with some pics of the first way I did it.
