Well, I'm back in a Mustang again. Sold my bolt-on 2004 GT when my first son was born in 2010 to pay bill off and get right. Went a couple years and had 4 different DDs in that time (95 Probe GT, 01 Grand Prix GTP, 03 Focus SVT, and an 07 Jeep Liberty which is now the wife's car). None of them quite scratched the itch I developed in 2007 when I first drove my friends 04 GT. We had a chance to trade in our main family-mobile (took a loss, but we hated it dearly). Looked at a super clean 2010 GT base with 7k (but had 3 owners) in my favorite color, grabber blue, but that dealer wasn't going to give us a damn thing for our trade in and they were asking a bit much for the car IMO. A Chevy dealer close to home had a 2011 GT Premium package with 46k and only one owner for $21500. It had some minor blemishes, but no history of accidents or any repairs at the local Ford dealer where it was bought. It ran super strong, and I knew we had to have it. Wife actually wanted to get it more than me I think...she cried the day I sold my 04 (was also a week overdue with our boy, so very emotional haha). So there's a condensed version of my story. Right now it is sitting in the carport at home while I am in Kansas for training/logistical support of our engineers. Already ordering an exhaust (Flowmaster Outlaw axle back) and planning mods (Lethal Performance H-pipe and over axle pipes, a tune, and some suspension work and wheels). I live this car and cannot get over how powerful it is in stock trim. Very happy to be back in something with torque
