they got lucky, plain and simple. they were lucky the rangers and lundqvist sucked ass.

as far as beating NJ, anyone could have this year,. they collapsed after the Olympics and they just weren't a playoff built team

sharks wont dismantle anyone but themselves. lets face it they had an easy first round, and got a batterd and beat up detroit in the second. after detroits season ending run and pheonix literally kicking the shit out of them they had nothing left.

tell that to the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team. Compared to the fins, sweds, etc sure the Americans had somewhat of skill and heart. But NO ONE had the skill to be on the same Ice as the Russians then. Period. It was all heart that game baby.

the Americans did have a ton of skill. They had to learn to play an entirely new way of hockey then that ever played before in sa short period of time. Unskilled players couldnt do that

well they weren't amateurs if thats what you were thinking. But at the same time, They werent even rookie status of the skill level man. Cmon. what skill they had was from years of playing little leagues, high school, and eventually college. True talent is learned on the ice, and them boys didnt even see it yet. Did they have potiential? Hell yea. But they were yet just a seed if you know what I mean. They didnt even start to grow at that point. Anyway, I would like to see San Jose win it honestly. Anyone but Chicago.
