Well we got a look at the SSO rules today for Battle of the Brands. Looks like the same thing as the NMRA rules! If we don't catch a break on the damn turbo sizing we're going to have to just run the local outlaw races!

We were hoping they would have something a little more balanced...no luck!

I guess we could always go Procharger. The rules for Procharger in SSO are the same basic ones for Pro-outlaw. Only real difference is the tire.

There is talk of giving the SSO turbo cars a 101mm turbo. I think that would get us in the game at least.

No, I don't like index racing. But I do like bracket racing. During test n tune or time trials or qualifying, I want to run it all out, because I like to see how quick it will go. But in elims, I know enough when to play the stripe game.

Oh, and since I only get to run the 1/4-mi like once every two years or so, why the hell would I want to sand bag the few chances I get.

I do like how Jim set up the Super Stang class at NMRA. Run the car flat out and pick your own index number Sunday morning. Whatever number you put on the car is what you have to contend with all day.

That would work for me!

I'm still waiting to see the rules for the True 10.5 class that FFW....er, I mean...."Battle of The Brands" is going to run. My original question over there was will this be in addition to Renegade or will it replace Renegade.

They need to do something or the NMRA car count is liable to be way down next year in SSO.

Lot's of regular SSO drivers talking about not coming back. Some guys are selling their cars. Heck the cost to make the cars legal to run competitive speeds in SSO next year is too steep compared to the payout.

Hell if your gonna spend the money might as well go run Pro-outlaw. There are so few cars in that class you're almost guaranteed to be in the money every race.

Of course your also almost guaranteed to get cracked by Scary every race!!

I think they need to make some changes for certain. Whether they will or not...who knows!

Well I know we're rolling out for some money race mid November. We're supposed to have the big bullet back for the Yellow Bitch and we're putting the 114 and 29 tires on it.

Petty was down tuning on a car recently (I think it was Justin Curry's camaro) and we figured out why we keep pushing head gaskets!

I know Kenjo is going also.

Barring some finalization to the rules at NMRA, and what ever FFW is now, we're just gonna run local.

I received an email from Mike Pausina at FFW concerning Ultra Stang. He said, "I don't know what will happen with U/S. We're waiting on word from JDM Engineering." That came straight from Bill Alexander to Pausina. WTF?

Twins no less!! It was one sweet looking car! Can believe he burned it up that same weekend! Burned up a lot of shit! Be awhile before we see it back at the track!

I was worried about that! While I think this might be a good deal for FFW, I'm not sure if all the sponsors will think it's in their best interest. Players like Turbonetics, Procharger, etc. are cross platform dealers. However, those that aren't may not feel it is the best use of their advertising dollars!

Wouldn't be a typical outing for Justin if he didn't burn up everything before loading up and going home.

Crystal at FFW assures me that U/S is there to stay since everyone is just so tickled with the class. Not sure if she's just blowing smoke up my ass or not. There is always the Super Stang class at NMRA. I'll just have to go kick everyone's ass over there too.
