Wow that's nasty stuff to think of all the crap that is in my intake and runners at 18k miles :( i wish i would have gotten a separator the day i bought it...

also seems like everyone and their mother is using heater hose, what's the problem with it? i have seen like 4 people say DO NOT USE HEATER HOSE but like over 100 using heater hose with no issues, what's the deal? it's all i can find right now lol

I'm just using the 5/8" heater hose UPR supplied with the separator, no problems I can see.

Well went to home depot, got a husky filter, modified the element a bit to breathe better, sealed up the bottom nipple good. went to napa got some 1/2 fuel line, went to ace got some 1/4 brass fittings.

Filter: 12.00
Fuel hose: 3.00
fittings: 2.00
clamps: 3.00

will post pics tomorrow, it's nice and neat, and i don't see a need to put clamps everywhere, it was HELL putting the hose on and i couldn't take it off if i wanted to myself, but for extra insurance just one clamp on the intake and one on the valve cover, the seperator has two 2 inch nipples going 1.5 inches into the tubing, it aint going anywhere. looks clean without the usual 4 clamps.

note: drove for 30 minutes had to go somewhere, popped the hood when i got home and already a tiny tiny puddle in the bowl. yuck.

i dont know if you race your car or not.but with the amount of oil i have been collecting in 1500 miles you are gonna have to empty thet thing every couple of days.
but anything is better than nothing.

If using a breather arrangement is it sufficient to just use one on the oil filler or must you have ones on the valve covers as well?

Well, I did notice the hoses supplied by UPR are collapsing somewhat. What can I change them to? Will fuel hose take the vacuum? Do they make fuel hose that big (5/8")?

you could buy oil hoses or fuel hoses in that size in any shop that works with 18 wheelers

Thanks guys. I scored some Gates 5/8" fuel hose. Hopefully that will cure the problem.

Mine doesn't collapse its made for fuel line 1/2' and its a nice tight fit for the 5/8 nipples and also i notices the stock hose/pipe hard plastic thing has just about the inner diameter as my 1/2 fuel hose pull back the foam to see :)

Iono about anyone else here but my passenger side valve cover spits lots more than my driver side. So much that I had to change breathers today my old filter was dripping oil. Yall may want to put one on the passenger side as well. Just a thought.

I didnt want to mount my breathers directly on top of the cam covers for 2 reasons. 1: I dont want my engine pulling in hot air during vacuum, it wont be AS hot near the strut towers. 2: If oil does spit out of the breathers, it will be easier to clean off the strut towers then my injectors, coils, and all the crevices in that area.
So here are my pics

I did my passenger side as well, still need to get some clamps on it... It's a little easier to get it on there with me having the KB... but you get the idea. I get quite a bit of build up on the drivers side over about a thousand miles or so... probably fills up the container half way. Don't know about the passenger one, just put it in yesterday:

Along with the one that came with the KB kit for the driver's side cover:

Hey miracle, i know it's tough but you are going to want to squeeze that tube on the entire fitting, :) also you might want to seal up the bottom of that filter, those little nubs leak a little bit, nothing major but good to have everything completely sealed, also i am mad at your kenne bell!
