flex agent is an ABSOLUTE must.......i learned this after the 3rd time I repainted mine. You can put ALL of the time and effort into painting.....do EVERYTHING perfectly and it will ALL fall apart (chip) apart within a month of being on the ride.

Just had my painted last week and went to install it this weekend. Turned out really well except one thing. On the passanger side it is not sitting flush with the bumper. We tried a few things to get it too stick and look right, with no luck. Anybody have the same problem with their spoiler? Need to take some pictures to show what it is doing.

Not the same problem but mine "bows" in the middle. I am almost 100% sure that this is due to the curing process after paint (when they bake it).

Interesting....

No bowing in the middle so far with my. Just the damn gap around the passanger side near the opening to the radiator. It fits perfect on the drivers side and around the opening. Just right at the corner where the opening is and it starts on the bumper it will not fit right. Thought about takjng the bumper off and from thr back side do some trimming with the dremel or something to help it fit a little better.

Got a picture of the gap? Mine took a bit of wiggling to get perfectly flush.

Here is a diy Do not use any lacquer based products and you never sand between coats of color. If it is a metalic you will streak the mettalics. You always need adhesion promotor on anything plastic. Flex agent is added to clear coat I personally dont use it it keeps the clear soft for a couple days thats why it flexes. It does not allow it to flex after it is fully cured. If you are using spray can primer it is lacquer based junk if you are using paint out of a spray can it is single stage enamel also junk or lacquer. Then just as equally junk is any clear coat in a can. Anything that will last is clear or primer wise is two parts a urethane mixed with a catalyst to make it harden.

Step 1 Clean with a wax and grease remover.
Step 2 Sand the entire piece with 400 grit wet sand paper
Step 3 Reclean the entire piece
Step 4 sand with 600 grit wet sand paper
Step 5 apply a adhesion promotor 2 good coats
Step 6 apply a high build 2 part urethane primer
Step 7 sand smooth with 400 grit
Step 8 sand with 600 grit
Step 9 Apply basecoat 2 to 3 coats make sure fully covered
Step 10 apply 2 to 3 coats of a good quality Clear 2 part Urethane Clearcoat. You can add flex agent if desired.
Step 11 Mount to vehicle after 12 to 24 hours and enjoy.

Mine has that gap but not as much. I used some 3M tape to really get it on there and making it stick. It's also probably less noticeable since I have a black car.

I'd say try and use some 3M tape and maybe get it to stick and then bolt down all the screws. Otherwise it looks like it's warped, just like mine.
