I'm taking my car in next week to have a new belt, thump-rrr tensioner installed & a leak down & compression test done. I've been chasing a power loss for over a year now. I'm not mechanically inclined, thinking it might be a bad ground somewhere. What grounds should I have checked out while car in being worked on? Read that someone else had a bad ground to pcm.

Smart Junction Box, passenger footwell behind the plastic panel, fuses and such to control parts of the car

Sorry. Smart Junction Box. It is in the passenger side kick panel. Common issue on Mustangs. Also check carefully for a water leak while you are in there!

No water there, car almost never sees rain except hand car washes. If the SJB was bad what would it cause the car to do. Car drives fine, just feels down on power compared to before roll bar installation. Where else should I have grounds checked besides SJB?

if the sjb got wet and messed up, the car would basically have gremlins all over the car, headlights being weird, dash lights, radio, everything would act odd

None of what you listed has ever happened. Most likely rule out SJB as cause.

Before I had to put roll bar in I ran a few mid 11.2's & a best of 11.12 @ 122 1.57 end of season. After mandatory roll bar install, BMR a-arms & k-member, racing seat (all to offset added weight by roll bar) the next season ran consistent 11.3-11.4 @ 122, 60' mid 1.6's. On street it felt down on power, throttle not as responsive. Track launches were not as strong as before roll bar.

Things I've done so far to try & fix power loss:
cleaned throttle body & MAF, cleaned air filter, new fuel filter, put in new 3:73 gears(old ones whined), added detroit trutrac differential, checked TPS sensor for correct voltage, reloaded tune, throttle calibration procedure, sct tuner pulls up no codes, added deep transmission pan.

End of last year tranny/converter showed signs of wear, track times dipped a lot, 11.7's. In the last 2 months I've had a new 5R555 Performance Automatic tranny, 3k Circle D converter, spark plugs & Shaftmasters D/S installed along with a new dyno tune. Took car to the track on 3 seperate dates & ran 11.4's @ 117 60' 1.6's(down 5mph from 122 before). Problem is that I ran 11.3-11.4, 60' mid 1.6's with stock converter & tranny last year. I figured replacing tranny/converter & changing D/S would fix power loss issue & at the same time decrease my times by .3-.6 seconds. DA corrected times were very close to actual. Times are the same, how is that possible? I've been in contact with my tuner & datalogged, said everything looked fine. Dynoed recently at 460hp/431tq. Besides being able to footbrake from 1,800 to 2,300 @ line the car doesn't launch any harder with the new converter, on street u just have to give it a little more throttle than with stock converter. At track launched from idle, 1,500, 2k, 2,300 all with 1.6-1.65 60's. I'm at wits ends with what issue could be. Most of all I spent 2k on new converter & D/S to gain nothing in track times. On the street I even loaded my previous tune that I had been running(not set up for new converter), no significant feel between new tune & old one.

Suggestions by a racing friend=New belt & upgraged tensioner (belt might be slipping? However shows 10#'s on gauge). Leak down & compression test to see if there is damage to engine.

Suggestions to where to look next?

You added extra weight to car which theoretically can/will hurt ET! I would talk to your tuner about this as it also sounds like the tune might be off for your combination!

Yes, roll bar added about 100#'s. I saved 90# with a-arms, k-member, race seat & rear seat removal. I only gained 10#. I have been in contact with tuner, just trying to get additional feedback on forums, thanks. Anybody else?
