oh, I see in your sig you have '06...it's in a hose! LOL

Drivers side, unit is mounted amongst the hoses located between radiator and cyl head.

if you have an 06, follow the big hose going in front of your driver side valve cover. From there you will find a metal cover with a different big hose connected to that. That metal cover is your thermostat housing. Hope that helps. Nick

When I went to AZ it showed that the stock thermostat was a 180. the guy told me that its sometime called a 192 because that is when it is wide open.
now I don't know who to believe.......lol

i dunno but, mine at full operating temp is in the 194-197 range which I always thought was kinda high but alot of guys on here have said theirs run that high too....

'05-06 are 180s. '07+ are higher because of the different hose layout/T-stat location.

changed the T-stat. Mine had 180 stamped into it. I repaced it with 160. At cooler temps the car seems a little more "crisp" but then again it may be just wishful thinking..........lol.

All I know from everything I've ever heard was a motor runs better at lower temps. I can't guarantee that for a fact. THe cooler my car is the better it runs, so I can't answer for anyone else. Also if it doesn't get as hot, then it takes less time to cool off.

If you want a more in depth answer it will have to come from one of the smarter guys here..........lol
