Hello enthusiasts

I want to buy my fist spray gun and a small one for spot repairs. From quarter dollar size up to half a bumper. Until now I used spray cans with different spray caps from a graffiti store. I can highly recommend this if you use spray cans, get a full set of caps, skinny, fat, fan, with different paint thickness features.

Now I will buy a cheap spray gun only for 2K epoxy and 2K clear coat.

1. What size of the needle I need? 1.0 mm?
2. Do I need a water separator
3. Do I need a pressure regulator at the gun, or is the one at the compressor enough?

Thanks for your help!

Temu has stupid options - spray gun with two needle sizes or one size with regulator

Harbour freight has one that I’ve read great reviews about. It’s cheap I think it’s the purple one and it’s like $16 bucks not on sale.

Coming from someone who's been airbrushing for 30 years if you don't have one highly suggest getting an Iwata airbrush/spray gun for the small touch ups. They cost a bit more but worth it in the long run. You can find decent models for not too much money on feebay or online:
