I'm about to replace my door subs with Pioneer shallow mount 8's. The pioneers are 250w RMS and have 83 dB. Currently I run that stock subs at -12 dB from the head unit. Will the stock amp's be loud enough to run the aftermarket subs at decent volume given that I use the stock speakers at roughly 1/4 volume? My head can go up to +12 dB.
From the book learnin' I've done about this stuff it should be fine, I just want to run it past you guys with practical knowledge first.
