Race Track Bucket list

[NDSP]

So about a month or so ago, I decided that I want to race at all the iconic race tracks in america before I can't do it anymore. I was hoping some of you would help me compose a list of must race tracks, either for their heritage or awesomeness. Here is what I could get off the top of my head.

Leguna Seca
Watkins Glen
Road Atlanta
VIR
COTA

Miller Motorsports Park ( is that the Utah one that Terry wrote about?)

Well you get the picture, I don't know and at least they aren't top of mind. So what say ye?

Pretty serious list. Why stop there? I think it would be great to hit every track ever made personally.

Nuerburgring Nordschleife, I know its not in the U.S. but that track is a blast. I'll be running Silverstone Circuit (UK) in the spring using some F2000 and F3 cars, surprisingly the racing schools over here are pretty inexpensive.

Sears Point / Sonoma Raceway using full turn 7 not the NASCAR brake friendly version.
Miller Motorsports Park – Never run there / only seen it once but a first class facility.

Several European tracks come to mind but with the exception of Le Man or Nurburgring -(Because of shear size) - US tracks are just as good. I have not driven at either of the two

Man I'd love to race "the ring" and some of the other famous European tracks, first I think I'll tackle the ones on this continent.

I would love to go there this year with NASA. However, I need to keep the wife happy and being that the dates are Feb. 15th and 16th, I would have to leave on the 14th to get there and that would piss her off. Happy wife happy life.

Miller and Barber are probably my favorite by far! Can't say how a car handles but I can tell you about the bikes! Daytona is really cool but bumpy as shit!

America looks reasonably covered, but if we can do international, I'd pick Suzuka for the East and Spa Francorchamps for the West.

Mosport - or by the current name, the Grand Prix Circuit at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The elevation changes and speed will test the size of your attachments.

As for Lime Rock not being fast, well, I average slightly faster there than Watkins Glen with the boot, and 4 MPH faster than VIR Full.

I would agree that the US is pretty much covered... but I'll add my true bucket list track:

Porterero De Los Funes

Only open once a year for the FIA GT Races but I don't think it's ever open for the public. Absolutely an insane track!




Next up would be Algarve




From there I'm indifferent. There are some tracks like Zolder that I'd eventually like to hit but neither are on my bucket list!

Japan has some damn good tracks. Suzuka, Tsukuba, and even Motegi.

Wiki-pedia will let you add dozens, if not hundreds.

I can only testify to the ones I've tried, and among them was Willow Springs. Fast and fun. Wait. I guess the reason it doesn't appear is that everyone's already run it.

I haven't yet done Laguna Seca or Sears Point, among the realistic possibilities. I reckon I'll never get to Watkins Glen, Road America, Road Atlanta, Daytona, Sebring...without a big old lottery win.
