Radiator paint removal

I purchased a hellion intercooler from a member on here that had been painted on both sides with radiator paint. An aerosol can I'm assuming. How can I remove it to get back to bare aluminum? A local radiator shop said they cannot dip aluminum. I had considered aircraft paint remover but I don't want to clog up the fins with paint pieces.

I think thats your best bet. You should be able to wash any paint pieces right off

Maybe I'll try it in a section that is behind the bumper support first and see how it works.

You could also tape everything off before applying the paint stripper. You doing this while its on the car. I would remove it first for sure.
