So I've been getting a rattle for a lil while now . It's has gotta a little worse over time. At first I thought it might be my X-pipe itself or something in it . Well I checked all the bolts and they are all secure. It sounds like it's coming from there or somewhere around the tranny. Any one have this same problem or have nay clue what it may be ??

Thanks
David

Run long tubes? Have you checked the hangers on your mufflers? Sometimes they can tap and have fun.

Some of our cars came without 2 bottom bolts on the bellhousing. Go to the dealership get 2 new bolts and some silicone. Take a screwdriver and separate the plate from the bellhousing and put some silicone between the two and tighten the new bolts down and your done. I had to do this and it fixed it.

I'll look at that when I do the headers and see it I can do that . Or just might fix it depending on how much it costs .

i know it's not your issue, but one of the other posters said something about his lt's rattling. mine vibrate right around 2100 rpm for about a second or two or as long as it takes me to get above or below that particular rpm. a stainless steel hose clamp around the tubes where they parallel each other eliminated about 80% of the rattle.

Can't go wrong with adding power to get rid of rattles ;) haha

Installing bbk longtubes tomorrow just for this same reason i think its the POS UPR x-pipe thats been rattaling but its very embarrasing especially in drive throughs when it sounds like someones shaking a can full of marbles

Did you cut the hangers off of your xpipe or hpipe before you installed it? Alot of them rattle if you leave them on.
