This winter I'm ditching my stick for a 4R70W by Len Tech. I plan to let JDM do the swap for me since I'm not that experienced with it and since its my DD I don't have any downtime to learn on this car. After listening to Jim Jr. I plan on going with PI's TC but I don't know what stall to go with. I figure anywhere between 2,500 and 3,100 RPM. But with 600 rpm to play with I'm clueless on where to put her. What would you guys recommend.

To help you help my my car isn't going to see the track a lot. Right now she is putting down 466 rwhp and 432 rwtq.

In that case, I'd say keep it on the low side. You probably won't be able to hook on the street anyway, so why go too high. Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: what is the 1st gear ratio in the 4R70W?

depends on the torque curve you are seeing with your forced induction for a twin screw/ turbo setup i would say no more than 2500-2800 for a centri go with a 2800-3200 again it also depends on the rear gear ratio for a tip the 4r70w tranny loves 3.90 gears it matches well with the gear ratios in first and second

It's a Saleen Twin Screw with roughly 9lbs of boost. I'm going to stick with the stock 3.55 axle with the swap. I can't remember how my torque curved looked and I'm looking for my dyno sheet. But I'm pretty sure its over 3,100 anyway so I'm not looking to get that set as my stall. Also, would that change at all going from a stick to an automatic. Would the TC move the torque curve at all?

The gears in the 4R70W are set to : 2.84, 1.55, 1 , .7. Right now I have the optional 17" wheels but I plan to go 18s afterward with a 295/45 or 305/45 in the rear.
