most the cheap shit on flea-bay is well, cheap shit from china. Probably work, at first. Cheap, shoddy wire, low budget parts, thin metal and plastic.

I got it on my car. Only pro is to heat up car when it's cold as shit.

Get a good one. No reason to go cheap with a car.

I bought a Viper car alarm and starter. Best $700 ever spent (thats with professional installation)

I like being able to start my car and let it run for atleast 2 min before i start driving anywhere really. The alarm also works great on it! Id take a look into it if I were you!

Is this something that can be installed with average mech skill?

I was always curious though.. If it starts the car without putting the key in & turning the ignition, can it be driven without the key in? This maybe very stupid question but please inform me. lol

you will have to turn the ignition switch on with the key when you enter the car after you have remotely started it or it will turn itself off.

That's too bad because the main reason to have one for me would be not to have to use the key at all.

Ehh I wouldnt reccomend doing the install yourself. You gotta splice into the wiring harness and that can open a big can of worms if you dont know what your doing..

Mine has a built in anti-theft system with the viper alarm/starter. I can fire it up with my remote but say somebody tried jumping into the car as soon as they put their foot on the brake or gas the car shuts off.

Same goes with somebody trying to hotwire my car aswell. The car has a kill switch and its always engaged. The car will go into safe mode not let the car at all turn back on.

Its a good system to have IMO.
