Is there an effective way to remove paint from the black wheel well liner?

Someone spray painted some red looking paint on there and maybe parts of my suspension.

Sand them and repaint them gloss black. Done.

That's what I did and the wheel wells look brand new.

So use Lacquer Thinner and NOT Paint Thinner?

Or it doesn't matter?
when i was young i worked at a body shop for a while. we used lacquer thinner to clean overspray and to clean the guns ect. paint thinner is a cheap mineral spirits. its pretty weak stuff, doesnt dry near as fast and its not a real clean solvent(but great for cleaning oily parts like in the parts washer). the laq t. is very clean, kinda on the hot side( thats why i said try a spot first) but it worked pretty good. if its a real lot of overspray, just paint them like the other guys said

Thats what my dad had me used when I worked in his shop too. Like someone said test a spot first to make sure your not taking off other paint with it. If its not too old it should work well.

And to safely remove a light haze of clearcoat or paint overspray from a windshield or side mirror glass?

Glass cleaner doesn't do a damn thing.

Yeah razor is too risky. Use a laquer thinner and be careful with it. Aircraft stripper will get ANYTHING off
