Talked to the body shop today, they Will only blend it into the door. He said as some of you guys said, he can't tint it well enough to just paint the panel then clear coat it.
Sounds like this is the only way to get it done in this area. I know some of you guys will say find another shop, 2 shops wanted appointments to look at it. I am just plain frustrated and walked out. I'm to far from Count Kustoms in Vegas! LOL

Problem is with painters these days, very few are independent now where I live. Most are under contract to insurance company's and the money insurance pays them is astronomical. So why would they want to paint a car for half the money an insurance company pays them

Same shit here in Germanien... the painters are crazy.. they only want to spray a fender ..or a door .. for 1000 Euros each part... because the insurance companies pay them...and we the people ... we pay higher prices for our car insurance...
Back in the good old days.. when life was funny and full of risks - I paid 2000 DM ( 1000 Euros ) for a first class paint job ! 1997-2001 ...or so
