You and your brother's son may need counseling. Don't put it off my friend. Such a travesty will leave a mark that may require insight from a professional to overcome.

Good luck and again, prayers sent continually.

never had a problem on mine but I found some threads on another forum talking about the 3.55's being the issue. Sadi ford had a TSB to change lube that the lube from the factory was causing premature failure...I dunno what truth there is to it though...

Sorry for your loss.

I've not heard of any failures like that. I also looked through all the TSB lists I have and didn't come up with anything. Ford has been using the same fluid in these cars for over a decade (75W140 synthetic).

I lost my best friend in 2001. We knew each other since we were about 5 years old. I was closer to him than my own brothers. It took me about 6 months to get out of my "fog" about the whole thing and to start accepting what had happened. It will be 10 years this wednesday that he has been gone. He died at the age of 27. It will get better Dale, but everyone grieves differently. Dont force any feelings and just try and keep things in perspective and be their for support for his kid..His son is the one that will need the most support now. Good luck pal..

He was my best friend.... I just dont know what to do now that he is gone. Everytime I look at my car I wanna put a torq wrench through it. I may end up sellimg it but I know if he were standing here right now hed be like fuck that keep your car dale! I just know that the rear wheels locked up, maybe a freak instance but I seen the car hopping up an down when he went left across 4 lanes of traffic behind me...I just feel lost right now. And Ultra I know what you mean, I dealt with PTSD when I came back from the desert and this is much worse to me than that...My best friend, my brother, the one person who knew me the best and I could call about anything and he shared the mustang hobby as religously as me...Im sure gonna miss him a lot...

Dale, dont try making sense of it right now. Life is pretty damn unfair sometimes. Each day is a gift. He wouldnt want you to sell your car man, trust me. I never met you or him, but from the sounds of it, he would be pissed if you sold your car.

I totally agree.

I know I have already said it, but I am so sorry for your loss Dale. I lost one of my best friends in a car accident about 15 years ago and hardly a day goes by that I don't think about him. He was 3 years older than me and I respected and looked up to him so much, it was devasting for me as a 15 year old kid. The pain, and feeling of loss never really truly goes away, but it does get better. Keep your head up and be strong, especially for your nephew.

Dale, I drove to Huntsville today and I passed a sign leading to Scottsboro and ALL I could think about was this tragedy. Don't try to make sense of this as others have said, because it will never make sense. I know the replay of what you saw will stick with you forever, but just remember all the saturdays you and your brother spent on the stangs and wrenching away. Those are the times you need to remember and reflect on. I know its going to be tough.

One of my good friends who was a member on my water ski team died in front of us last year while performing a ski trick. I know how it is to not only loose someone, but to witness it. Stay strong! This is a time for the family to get and grow stronger. You will grieve, but it will get better. Life is beautiful and a wonderful gift, but we are never guaranteed tomorrow.

Those memories are the ones killing me right now... I see him smiling, drinking a coors light, handing me wrenches... talking about the hot chick driving a mustang he seen today or praising auburn football and how Alabama football sucks and I should just root for Auburn because they rule....man Im gonna miss him so much.... Dewayne, If you can hear WAR FUCKING EAGLE!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU BROTHER!!!!!

I understand the cell phone thing. I lost both my parents in 06, I still have their number in my phone and every replacement phone I've had since 06. I just can't delete it, doesn't seem right.
God bless you Dale and your nephew, try to be strong for him, be there for him and it will help heal you over time. Take can man.

im sorry for your loss man..

This is awful. Stay strong.

As horrible as it is god had a plan for him. There was a reason his son was in your car and not his.

This thread really irks me.... I don't know what i'd do if i lost my best freind. Only thing I can offer you is to stay strong and let it out... it's best not to hold it in.

I'm choked up right now and I've never met either of you. If you need anything from me man you can hit me on here. You guys have been in my prayers since the thread started.... Hope you can overcome this brother
