So about a week and a half ago I fired up my car and noticed a new noise that seems to be coming from my Saleen supercharger. I had just swapped belts the night before after shredding a gator belt because it was to small.

Car runs fine. Ran a pb of 11.4 @ 123.5 that night. The pulley turns easily by hand and makes no noise. I just want to know if i should be worried or just chock it up to the saleen being noisy.

Also the noise comes and goes, it's not always there and it is pretty much only there during idle. I might have a whole day of driving and not hear it.

Below is the some vids for comparison.

Vid made this morning:

Is it coming from the blower for certain? Or is it possibly coming from an idler??? b/c that is what it sounds like to me from that video.

I could be wrong. I wonder if it was damaged when the belt shredded. If it's the idler is it a big deal and could leave it alone or should i replace it? Thanks in advance

Sounds like an idler pulley to me as well. I would replace all of them just to be on the safe side, I believe there is only 2 anyway.
The idler could have gone bad before you shredded the belt, it probably has some play in it which is why you shredded the belt.

Alright guys thanks for the help. After taking second listen I think it's probably coming from the mosaleen idler. Which makes sense since it's right next to the snout and would explain why i thought it came from the blower. I actually had to replace the other idler because it was destroyed by the belt.

I'm running the Steeda tensioner, V-10 water pump pulley, and a 107.3 gates belt with the 3.2 pulley. I am looking into the Mosaleen system as well.
