Hey folks. So, rebuilding my car and I'm pulling the interior out for refresh and such. Had a look at my seat belts and the driver's is looking a little shabby. So I figured I'd hop online and order some replacements...and this is where the tumbleweeds of doom start rolling in. Couldn't find any. LMR had 1 belt and it was for a 2006 or older (I have an '07) so they're different. Checked a few dealership sites; all marked as discontinued with no alternative. Checked other major parts suppliers (rock, partsgeek, etc) no love.

I expect this for vehicle specific stuff like brackets and fenders and such, but didn't expect the seat belts to disappear already.

Anyone know of any alternatives out there? (And no, I don't use my harnesses on the street.)

Sadly all manufacturers not only Ford after a certain amount of time stop production on parts that are weak or slow sellers.

Probably due to regulation as safety belts technically expire over time, and it's probably not a frequently replaced part (most people probably only need a replacement after a crash). They're also explosive so there's probably that factor.
Still, I was surprised since I didn't think Ford would make a vehicle-specific belt module. Seems like something they'd use across their model lineup. Whatever.

However, as is usually the way of it, I found some progress after posting. There's apparently seatbelt rebuilders out there, and one of the top ones is located an hour or so away from work. What are the odds. Anyway, I'll take mine to them for new webbing and report back on my experience.

Went down this path before too. Bought the one from LMR to find out that the connector did not fit and that there was a change over of part number mid-year. LMR worked with me to return and was understanding.
I found the correct part number for my mid-year 07 coupe build and then did a search...after multiple months waiting, I found a new old stock one on eBay that I snagged.

Really unfortunate these are not more standard (not refreshed with connectors mid-year and cross platform common) across Ford's lineup and made available for refresh or even crash rebuild scenarios.
