It happened a second time. Had the plugs looked at from a friend of a friend who is an engine builder for a NHRA funny car team.

It is not a piston making contact with the plug. Here is our theory:

One of the original plugs were defective and cracked under some detonation.
Ceramic from plug rattled around in the cylinder and basically acted like little pieces of buck shot.
Over time the ceramic got smaller and smaller.

The car is not exhibiting any behavior of a broken piston, stretched rod bolt, spun bearing etc. Basically the car feels perfectly fine once a new set of plugs go back in it. I toned down 93 tune to 18* of timing and 17 psi and it still popped a plug. Hence why we feel its foreign material in there.

So, I am doing another compression test today, and using my new color high res borescope that arrived today to see what/if any real damage. Then I am going to stick a small hose down the plug holes and suck out anything in there with my shop vac. After I stick a coat hanger down there with a rag taped to the end and clean up whats in there first.

Of losing the rag? I was going to stick a hanger down there with tape facing out to pick up some of the debris. But I figured rigging up a shop vac with a skinny hose would work better.
