Hey everyone,

I knew this was possible but I thought It would be with a more radical combination.

The mark on the tire was lined up with the valve stem. It moved this much after three runs at the track. I was running the tires at 12.5-13.5 psi and it was sixty footing 1.495-1.505.

Both sides moved equally. Also, after marking the side wall it looks as though the wrinkles are very tight together.

Has anybody else had this happen and how much is considered acceptable?

Any comments or insight would be appreciated!!

Thanks

No tubes right now. I know that the tubes would stiffen the sidewall more, but are they required with the screws?

My Ranchero did it all the time with DR's, would move 6" over the night, my set of slicks had screws, if you do add screws, make sure to use enought to prevent then from pulling

if you look close you can see the "pockets" they machined into the lips for the screw head to sit down into. if not your going to have a hell of a time screwing the alumastars since they dont have a good flat lip like the pro stars do

I know it's kinda obvious, but I'll ask.... Did you use soap or other to seat tire? If so it'll spin on rim much easier. I always mount drag tires with as little soap I can get away with. You can run without a tube if you put a dab of silicone I'n you're rim screw hole. Everyone does it diffrent.

Same thing happened to me - rim screws easily solved it. Personally, I put screws on both sides of the rim.

Nope - not an option on his bogarts. And weld doesn't offer anything to fit the backspacing he needs.
