Yeah it has gone up $200 to an outrageous price of $679, don't need it that badly, keep it.

It's because people are stupid and continue to pay it.

Really, so the fact that Ron's cost to produce these has gone up has nothing to do with his increase in price? This DS is produced from a Ford Ranger DS. The Cost of buying a Ranger DS from Ford has gone up significantly over the last year.

Sadly, I don't think that Ford will reduce the price of the Ranger DS. Ford is pretty good at catching on to things like this and once they make an adjustment in price, it is usually permanent. Classic case, PI 2V heads for the 4.6L. When the PI heads showed up in 99, you could buy all new parts from Ford to do the swap for $550.00. By 2001, Ford caught on, and to buy that same list of parts easily exceeded $1000.00. That is exactly what happened with the Ranger DS...
