In my experience locking lugs only accomplish two things. They cost your mechanic time whenever he is working on anything requiring removing the wheels and they provide you with some fun extra steps when you're trying to change your flat tire on the side of the highway at night in the rain. First thing I did on both of my Mustangs was remove the locking lugs and put the regular lugs back on.
