Warrants have been issued for their arrest. Yay for street justice being served! Boo for that happening in The Woodlands. Stupidest part of that is, all stoplights in that area are monitered by cameras. Even without the motorist's video, they'd have likely been caught.

This was posted on one of the local Houston forums:

According to LS1GTO the 1st responding officer said they have the video and the drivers of the cars now have warrants for their arrest.

The guy that recorded the race sent it to a Sheriff friend that works in that area.

What makes this even better, the driver of the C6 has been known to scam people on LS1Tech. Karma is a bitch and it will be even better if insurance does not pay

I know the owner of the c6, this really isn't his fault but he is kind of a douchebag and is an asshole to everyone, so i guess karma is finally catching up to him.
but me personally have never had a problem with him.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office issued arrest warrants on Wednesday for two men involved in the now infamous Woodlands Parkway Thanksgiving Day street racing incident that was recorded on a cellphone then posted online where it went viral.

Roy Wayne Bowden and Brian Andrew Herbert are charged with Racing On Highway Causing Bodily Injury, with bond recommendation set at $30,000 for each.

The video, posted on YouTube, was titled "Two Turkeys on Thanksgiving Wrecking their Corvettes in The Woodlands," and had over a million hits in only a few days. Bystander Gerod Rush noticed Bowden and Herbert revving their engines at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and Montfair and he recorded the race and crash with his smart phone.
The video shows a child on a bicycle and an adult crossing the intersection before the light changes to green and the real action begins. The two Corvettes screech their tires as they fly through the intersection. One of the Vettes then goes out of control colliding with the other, landing both in the tree-lined median.

Herbert, whose license was suspended at the time of the crash, was transported by EMS to an area hospital complaining of leg pain and dizziness, but was not seriously injured. At the time of the crash, both denied to authorities they were racing.

As of this writing, neither has been arrested.

That's such shitty luck. I know a lot of us, including myself has had a street encounter. Granted it didn't end in an accident, we're damn lucky to get away with it. Imagine being in jail with a 30k bond for doing something which seems so "okay" at the time.

If you're so stupid as to try and race in that environment then you should be locked up before you kill yourself and maybe take someone else with you.

I just came across this browsing youtube. This video portrays a much more dangerous scenario than the one of the corvettes. I'm not hoping on any chevy dick, but i just think its a bit unfair that these guy are getting so much publicity and punishment for something that goes on ALL the fucking time way more recklessly.

Err... I see a car, albeit a Veyron, sedately pulling away from a junction on green and a person jaywalking having to get the fuck out of the road... where they shouldn't have been.

I really don't see the comparison mate :beerdrink:
