I spoke with paul at the long beach grand prix.

I wish Paul did a carbon replacement of the OEM trunk. he does one for race applications but none for OEM.

Anyone interested in getting a group buy going so we can persuade him to make it?

The hood is carbon fiber with the upper side being primed ready for paint.

Amongst other things, I'd definitely be interested in a carbon fiber trunk and I'd much rather buy it from Paul and support Tiger Racing than Seibon. Paul has said that he plans to start selling more items soon, so watch this space!

I'll post pictures as soon as it's painted and mounted, but in the meantime here's one more showing a nice little finishing touch from Tiger Racing...

yeah i had a nice chat with him. Pretty much all of the Mustang runners in the GTS class in SPEED GT run the tiger racing hood. I got to see them first hand as well as the carbon trunk. They are very nice pieces and high quality.

Yeah i dont like seibons quality and i always hear of fitment issues so I wont be going with their products. I would rather buy and support a high quality race shop than chinese made products.

Please keep in mind that Tiger makes race bodywork that also has great fit/finish. That being said he is NOT Seibon. This stuff is made in California by a great family. I think approaching him about a group buy is a good idea but I imagine it would take a good amount of people to make that happen.

Seibon already makes a CF replacement.

Seibon doesn't hold a candle to the functional quality of Tiger Racing parts. Also the Seibon stuff is REALLY heavy and in my opinion is very... Boy Racer.

You nailed it Foolio. I like the fact that if I have a question or need to order something from Tiger, I always talk to Paul or his wife Carol. They are great people, I can't say it enough.

I am dieing here. I hope to hear soon about my 2010/11 carbon Tiger hood. The Ford factory is getting the first batch which I guess is understandable but still frustrating.

Hope to hear something about those vented carbon front fenders. I would be in on any group buy of the trunk lid but getting the weight of the front end down is higher priority.

You should also follow World Challenge. Besides the fact that it's awesome, Paul's been working his butt off stomping on the GTS class. The fact that he's doing that, racing the K&N Filters G35 in Redline Time Attack AND still making hoods makes me wonder why he hasn't lost his mind yet.

Not to mention eating and sleeping...unless he's cut those out completely.

Steeda is for posers. They call themselves the leader of Mustang performance but really they are just a reseller of other peoples stuff. Whens the last time they won ANYTHING?!?!

They don't have anything revolutionary, Tunes, superchargers, Chinese made wheels, and body kits (read.. not race parts). Been running circles around them for years.
